Maps covering the area of Rome/Assisi/LaVerna

There is no formal ‘St Francis Pilgrimage Route’ as there is with the Via Francigena.  There are a number of places in Italy that were very important in his life (e.g. Assisi, LaVerna) and various routes to link them are being devised and waymarked.  This section identifies maps of some of the areas containing those places.  As already stated, up to date mapping of Italy is sketchy and like the Via Francigena, there is not a comprehensive set of large scale maps that cover this area of interest.  Listed below are those that have been found by research.  Any additionals are very welcome - please email the Webmaster. (if you click on the ‘Email Webmaster’ link at the bottom of the page, you will be presented with a form to fill out which is automatically emailed to the Webmaster)
