
Maps covering the area of Rome/Assisi/LaVerna
There is no formal ‘St Francis Pilgrimage Route’ as there is with the Via Francigena.
There are a number of places in Italy that were very important in his life (e.g.
Assisi, LaVerna) and various routes to link them are being devised and waymarked.
This section identifies maps of some of the areas containing those places. As already
stated, up to date mapping of Italy is sketchy and like the Via Francigena, there
is not a comprehensive set of large scale maps that cover this area of interest.
